Founded upon a passion for product design and development

IDE was founded in 1985 by David Moriconi, IDE President and CEO, and the late Dr. Peter Sehnal. Since its founding, IDE has designed and developed over 350 successful products manufactured and distributed world wide; products ranging from very high-volume consumer electronics to very sophisticated scientific equipment costing up to $3 million per system. The common thread for this diverse array of products is IDE’s unique blend of distinctive, user-centric industrial design and state-of-the-art design engineering, founded upon 25+ years of high-tech development and manufacturing expertise.

IDE has over 25 years of real world CAD/CAM/CAE product design and development experience, and we maintain a philosophy of utilizing the most advanced computer aided design, engineering and manufacturing tools to provide our customers with true concurrent product design and development services custom tailored to fit each customer’s specific needs.

Our suite of development tools include SolidWorks and Pro Engineer for parametric solids and surface modeling; Rhino 3D for very complex NURBS modeling; Cinema 4D for creating photo-realistic product renderings; Cosmos/M for finite element analysis; SmartCam FreeForm computer aided manufacturing software for precise CNC machining; and Mentor Graphics PADS PC layout and schematic capture software for electronic circuit design.
