IDE was founded in 1985 by David Moriconi, IDE President and CEO, and the late Dr. Peter Sehnal. Since its' founding in 1985,
IDE has designed and developed over 300 products manufactured and distributed world wide; products ranging from high-volume
consumer electronics to sophisticated scientific equipment costing up to $3 million per system. The common thread for this
diverse array of products is IDE's unique blend of distinctive, user-sensitive design and state-of-the-art engineering,
founded upon 25 years of high-tech development and manufacturing expertise.
IDE has over 20 years of real world CAD/CAM/CAE product design and development experience, and we maintain a philosophy of
utilizing the most advanced computer aided design, engineering and manufacturing tools to provide our customers with true
concurrent product design and development services custom tailored to fit each customer's specific needs.
Our suite of development tools include SolidWorks and Pro Engineer for parametric solids and surface modeling; Rhino 3D for
very complex bio-morphic NURBS modeling; Cinema 4D rendering software for creating photo-realistic renderings; Cosmos/M for
finite element analysis; and SmartCam computer aided manufacturing software for complex 3D CNC machining. For electronics
design and development we use the latest computer aided PCB layout, schematics capture and simulation ECAD tools.
