We are simply using an automotive industry analogy for what is commonly referred to in the technology sector as enclosure design, case design or housing design. Everyone is familiar with cars, thus the best way to relate our expertise in technology product design is to use the example of automobile design.

Think of a car's engine and drive train as analogous to your instrument's core technology (hardware and software). Think of the car's body, interior and chassis as analogous to your instrument's exterior enclosure (cabinet or case) which has an exterior form, interior user access points, and structural chassis to assemble everything together (enclosure, user access points, and core technology).
